Pinkin regain winning form in first match with new head coach

The Pinkin of Corozal returned to their winning ways after three consecutive losses, defeating the Leonas of Ponce in straight sets on Wednesday night. The match marked the debut of Jamille Torres Rosario as the team’s head coach, following the departure of Raúl Papaleo.
Corozal dominated in all statistical categories:
• Attacks: 38-28
• Blocks: 5-3
• Service Aces: 5-3
• Digs: 55-49
• Passes: 27-26
The Leonas, meanwhile, prevailed only in assists, 14-6.
The set scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-18, and Corozal earned the three available points to improve their record to 4-3 with 13 accumulated points, good for second place in the league standings.
The Leonas remain in fifth place, now with a 2-5 record and 5 points.
The Pinkin offense was led by Lindsay Krause (13 points) and Jordan Iliff (12 points). No Ponce player scored in double digits.
