Playoff race comes down to the final weekend

The 2026 Women’s Softball Premier League (LPSF) regular season enters its decisive chapter this week, with six teams still battling for postseason positioning.


The regular season will conclude on Sunday, June 28, with both the league championship race and the fourth and final semifinal berth still up for grabs. The “Road to Glory” semifinal stage is scheduled to begin on July 3.


The Valencianas of Juncos and the Prodigiosas of Sabana Grande are tied atop the standings with identical 11-4 records, while the two-time defending champion Bravas of Cidra remain within striking distance at 9-4.


The fight for the final playoff spot is even tighter. The Caribeñas of Salinas and the Leonas of Ponce are deadlocked in fourth place with matching 7-7 records, while the Grises of Humacao remain mathematically alive at 5-11.


Meanwhile, the Costaneras of Guánica have been eliminated from postseason contention after falling to 0-13 on the season.


The final week of competition begins Thursday, June 25, with three games on the schedule. The Bravas will visit the Caribeñas in Salinas, the Grises will travel to Juncos to face the Valencianas, and the Leonas will take on the Costaneras in Guánica.


Action continues Friday, June 26, with Guánica visiting Sabana Grande at 6:30 p.m. and Cidra facing Humacao at 7:00 p.m.


Five more contests are scheduled for Saturday, June 27. Ponce will play a doubleheader in Salinas beginning at 4:00 p.m., Sabana Grande will visit Juncos at 5:00 p.m., and Cidra will travel to Guánica for a doubleheader starting at 6:00 p.m.


The regular season will wrap up on Sunday, June 28, with a three-game slate. Juncos will visit Ponce at 3:00 p.m., Cidra will face Sabana Grande at 4:00 p.m., and Salinas will take on Guánica at 5:00 p.m.


With playoff berths and the regular-season crown still undecided, the season’s final weekend promises high-stakes softball across the league.
