The quarterfinal series of the National Women’s Superior Basketball Championship (BSNF by its initials in Spanish) were officially decided earlier this week.

The Explosivas of Moca secured second place in the standings with a 94-82 victory over the host Leonas of Ponce (4-13) on Tuesday night at Juan “Pachín” Vicéns Auditorium.

Import player Samantha Fuehring led the Moca offense with a standout performance of 31 points and 14 rebounds, followed by Ashley Torres with 20 points, Leigha Brown with 19 points and 10 assists, and Hillary Martínez with 16 points and 11 assists.

For the Leonas, Shelby Cheslek led the way with 20 points, while Talia Von Oelhoffen added 19, Ariel Colón 17 and Emily Maupin 11.

In another game, the Pollitas of Isabela locked down third place by defeating the Ganaderas de Hatillo, 73-55.

Quionche Carter led the Pollitas with 21 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Lasha Petree with 13 and 10 rebounds, while Kaelynn Satterfield and Anisha George each added 10 points.

For the Ganaderas, Okako Adika scored 14 points and Daneishka Ayala added 11.

With those results, the 2025 BSNF quarterfinal series matchups will be as follows:

Series A: Cangrejeras of Santurce (14-4) vs. Monarcas of Juana Díaz (7-11)

Series B: Explosivas of Moca (13-5) vs. Ganaderas of Hatillo (7-11)

Series C: Pollitas of Isabela (12-6) vs. Criollas of Caguas (8-9)

Series D: Atenienses of Manatí (10-7) vs. Gigantes of Carolina (10-8).

The BSNF postseason will begin this Friday in Moca and Isabela.

The Atenienses will remain in fourth place regardless of the result of Wednesday night’s game against the eliminated Cafetaleras of Yauco (3-14), as they won their home series against the Gigantes.

The other remaining regular season game will be between the Criollas and the eliminated Leonas in Ponce.
