The rapid changes affecting the media industry, particularly the printing sector in Puerto Rico, have required us to make significant operational adjustments in a short period of time. Like other publications and products that relied on specialized printing services on the island, we have had to adapt quickly to ensure the continuity of our newspaper.

Our response has been simple and unwavering: we will continue publishing, and we will continue reaching our readers.

As part of this transition, our print edition will temporarily appear in black and white. This is a provisional measure while we complete the necessary adjustments for our new and improved production process. It does not signal a change in our vision, nor does it diminish our commitment to the printed newspaper.

On the contrary, we have chosen to preserve what we consider essential: the physical presence of our newspaper and direct contact with our readers.

The San Juan Daily Star occupies a unique place in Puerto Rico. We are the only national English‑language newspaper of general circulation dedicated to serving Puerto Ricans on the island and across the diaspora, as well as the English‑speaking community that has made Puerto Rico its home.

Our audience is broad and diverse. We embrace and serve everyone — those here, those abroad, and those who seek to learn about, understand, and participate in the life of our island as part of our extended community.

To all of them, we owe our daily presence in every corner of Puerto Rico: corner stores, pharmacies, schools, institutions, medical offices, and more — wherever life unfolds and the island moves forward.
