At a press conference, in front of the Capitol of Puerto Rico in the Plaza de la Democracia, Javier Jiménez, candidate for governor for Proyecto Dignidad, presented his entire legislative team for the next election.
The candidates per district for the Senate of Dignity Project are 14, of a total of 16 required. In the case of the House of Representatives, there are 29 candidates out of a total of 40 required.
With the two at-large seats in both legislative bodies, the party offered a total of 45 candidates, thus bringing to Puerto Rico for the first time a new parliamentary majority with a conservative vision for the country.
“We are facing great challenges and to achieve this, we must take great steps. For this reason, I propose to the people of Puerto Rico that they give us a vote of confidence and vote in full for Proyecto Dignidad; to obtain the new parliamentary majority that Puerto Rico needs so much. I undertake to submit a bill to hold a referendum to eliminate legislative at large seats in both chambers, and its budget. At Proyecto Dignidad we believe in an agile, efficient government with an administration of excellence,” he sad.
“Today we have a series of laws that complicate this operation and political gigantism. It is vital to stop this abuse once and for all in Puerto Rico. We must give back to the people what the people deserve; and that is healthy governance, saving in all executive and legislative areas,” explained Javier Jiménez, president of Proyecto Dignidad.
“Voting for the New Majority of Project Dignity in the Senate is a safe vote to defend conservative causes. It is the vote that guarantees that we will defend your constitutional freedoms, facilitate your economic success, safeguard your parental rights, protect life at all times, work honestly and promote an agile and efficient government,” said the senatorial majority leader for Dignidad, Joanne Rodríguez.
