The Multisectoral Council in Support of the Homeless, in collaboration with WIPR, announced on Tuesday a new alliance to raise awareness about homelessness on the island through the morning program “Un Buen Día,” which is broadcast on the television channel from Monday to Friday.

Starting this month, the Council will have a fixed segment on the program to share initiatives and resources available to support the homeless, non-profit organizations that offer services to the population and, equally important, to share life testimonies of people who have been on the streets and have managed to get their lives back.

In making the announcement, WIPR President Jorge Pagán emphasized the importance of the effort to fulfill the channel’s educational and public service mission, and equally important to prevent homelessness in Puerto Rico.

“At WIPR we are committed to offering content that generates a positive impact in our community,” he said.
