The Cangrejeras of Santurce defeated the Vaqueras of Bayamón in a Puerto Rican Volleyball Confederation (COPUVO) match Wednesday night at Roberto Clemente Coliseum in Hato Rey.
With the victory, the Cangrejeras remain the only undefeated team and lead the overall standings with 14 points. The final scores of the sets were 25-19, 25-22 and 25-15.
The game started with the Vaqueras leading 5-1. The visiting team still led at 12-10, but a 3-0 run by the Cangrejeras, culminating with a kill by Camelia Meléndez, turned the first set around, 13-12. The home team took the second technical timeout with a 16-13 lead.
The second set remained close until the score reached 22. Meléndez then scored the next three points for the Cangrejeras to close out the set.
The third set was dominated by the hosts. After the score was tied at four, an out-of-bounds shot by the Vaqueras’ Yaliancis Flores gave Santurce control of the set, 5-4, and they never looked back.

Every time I think someone's gonna give Santurce a real challenge, they just shut it down lol. @spend bill gates money
