The Cangrejeros of Santurce and the Criollos of Caguas recorded victories on Monday in Superior National Basketball (BSN by its initials in Spanish) league play.

At Rubén Rodríguez Coliseum in Bayamón, the Cangrejeros defeated the Osos of Manatí, 92-87 for their fourth win in a row.

Santurce led at halftime, 51-37, and maintained the same margin after three quarters (72-58). The Osos made a run in the fourth quarter, cutting the lead to three points in the game’s waning moments, but came up short.

DJ Wilson led the Cangrejeros (10-12) with a double-double, recording 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Davon Jefferson contributed 16 points and eight rebounds in 38 minutes. Jordan

Howard added 17 points.

Kristian Doolittle led the Osos (8-14) with 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, while Tyler Davis contributed 14 points and seven rebounds, and Isaac Sosa added 13 points off the bench.

Elsewhere, the Criollos defeated the Mets of Guaynabo, 104-101, at Fernando “Rube” Hernández Coliseum in Gurabo.

The game was close through three quarters, leading to a high-voltage final frame in which Jaysean Paige drained four 3-pointers -- including three straight -- to keep Guaynabo close, and the Mets led briefly on a basket by Ysmael Romero with 4:16 left in the game before Caguas seized control down the stretch and sealed the victory.

Louis King led the Criollos (13-8) with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Moses Brown contributed 18 points and five rebounds, shooting an efficient 80% from the field. Travis Trice orchestrated the offense with 19 points and nine assists, and Christian López Santiago added 15 points on a perfect shooting night from the field.

Brandon Knight led the Mets (10-11) with 26 points and nine assists, while Paige scored 21 points and Romero tallied 16 points and nine rebounds.
