The Puerto Rican company Fransglobal announced on Wednesday that it is accepting job applications for various positions at its Taco Maker, Marco’s Pizza, and Panchitos restaurants, at a time when industry workers are facing layoffs due to the closure of other fast-food chains in Puerto Rico.
“We recognize the value of the workers in our industry and stand in solidarity with those affected by the recent restaurant closures in Puerto Rico, as well as their families,” said Carlos Budet, president of Fransglobal, in a written statement. “Their talent, experience, and commitment are essential to the development of our sector. At Fransglobal, we remain committed to creating employment and professional development opportunities for those who wish to continue growing within this industry.”
Currently, Taco Maker has 83 restaurants in Puerto Rico and expects to end the year with 85 locations. Marco’s Pizza operates 62 restaurants, while Panchitos maintains one location at La Terraza in Plaza Las Américas.
Job opportunities are available at various locations across the three brands, and applications will be evaluated based on open positions and the specific needs of each establishment, the company said.

Fransglobal noted that all three of its chains offer training programs and certifications designed to develop the culinary and professional skills of their employees. The restaurants under the three brands are operated by local entrepreneurs and maintain business relationships with Puerto Rican suppliers and distributors.
