Trujillo Alto, Cidra win in COPUVO play

The Amazónicas of Trujillo Alto and the Bravas of Cidra were winners on Sunday in the Puerto Rican Volleyball Confederation (COPUVO by its acronym in Spanish).
Visiting Trujillo Alto defeated Las de la Mancha of Corozal in straight sets, 25-23, 26-24 and 25-18 at Howard T. Jason Court.
The Amazónicas improved their record to 8-3 with 30 points, securing second place in the standings and a spot in the final round. Corozal remained tied for seventh place with the Lady Sharks of Aguadilla, both at 2-7 with seven points.
Meanwhile, at Raúl ‘Americano’ Hernández Sports School in Guayanilla, the Bravas also earned their ticket to the final round after defeating the host Volley Girls in straight sets, 25-19, 26-24 and 28-26.
With the victory, Cidra, coached by José Mulero, remained alone in third place with a 7-3 record and 25 points, while Guayanilla dropped to fourth place at 6-3 with 21 points.
