Woman’s lifeless body found in Patillas

Authorities are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning in the Villa Pesquera section of the Bajos neighborhood in Patillas.

According to preliminary information, a call to the state police station alerted police about a person lying on the pavement. Upon arrival, officers found the body of 40-year-old Claribel Montes Alicea.

She had allegedly suffered stab wounds.

Officer Niviana Cartagena, assigned to the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) in Guayama, is investigating.
