Cidra Mayor Delvis Pagán Clavijo and Women’s Advocate Astrid Piñeiro Vázquez inaugurated the new Women’s Affairs Office at City Hall this week.

The office, which offers support and guidance to women in crisis or victims of domestic violence, is staffed by municipal personnel and professionals from the Justice and Family division.

The office operates Monday through Friday and handles cases confidentially. The project has an initial allocation of $16,000 approved by the Office of the Women’s Advocate and aims to serve as a support center for preventing violence and connecting victims with legal, social and psychological resources.
