Caguas, Manatí & Moca notch wins in BSNF

The Criollas of Caguas, Atenienses of Manatí and Explosivas of Moca all secured victories on Sunday night in a trio of Women’s National Superior Basketball (BSNF by its initials in Spanish) league games.
The Criollas built a 10-point halftime lead then withstood a fierce second-half rally by the Pollitas of Isabela to claim their third consecutive win, 79-74.
At Roger Mendoza Coliseum in Caguas, the Criollas had five players in double figures, but it was the player with the least playing time who led the offense during the game’s final minutes. Dre Una Edwards came off the bench -- after dealing with personal foul trouble -- and scored five points during the pivotal moments to help the Criollas improve to 3-0.
The Criollas were led by Tea Cooper, who had 20 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Taylor Robertson scored 17 points in the victory.
Emily Kiser of the Pollitas (1-1) led all scorers with 31 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while import player Quionche Carter had 24 points and 14 rebounds.
Elsewhere, the Explosivas got their second win of the season by edging the Cariduras of Fajardo 65-64 at Tomás Dones Coliseum in Fajardo.
The game entered its final moments with the score at 65-63, after a three-pointer by Mya Hollingshed and a free throw by Angel Jackson pulled the Cariduras to within a field goal. A timeout was called; upon returning to the court, Fajardo’s Carolina del Toro attempted a shot but missed, and teammate Angel Jackson grabbed the rebound while drawing a personal foul on the play.
Jackson went to the free-throw line, sinking the first shot but missing the second. Hillary Martínez secured the rebound for the Explosivas and was fouled. Moca inbounded the ball from the baseline, and as Ashely Torres caught the pass, the game clock expired, sealing the win for the Explosivas.
Moca (2-1) had three players score in double figures, led by import Caroline Ducharme with 25 points and six rebounds. She was followed by Shanon Coffee with 13 points and seven rebounds, and Martínez with 11 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.
Fajardo (1-3) had five players score in double figures, led by Hollingshed with 14 points and Jackson, who contributed 12 points and 14 rebounds.
At Dolores Martinez Coliseum in Juana Díaz, the Atenienses earned their third consecutive victory by defeating the host Monarcas, 86-75.
Manatí (3-0) used a balanced offensive attack with four players in double figures. Veteran Pamela Rosado led the way with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Kaela Hilaire contributed 19 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.
The Atenienses got an outstanding performance from young Abeliz Rodríguez, the first pick in the 2026 rookie draft, who scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Imani McGee had a big night for Juana Díaz (0-4) with 33 points and 14 rebounds, but the Monarcas got just one point from the bench. McGee was followed by Tess Amundsen, who had 18 points, five rebounds and six assists.
