Suiza Caribe LLC, part of the CC1 Companies group, acquired the Aguadilla production plant and the portfolio of the Suiza Dairy and Suiza Fruit brands on Thursday, known for their long-life dairy products and juices.

“With this acquisition, we reaffirm our commitment to Puerto Rico, especially to its livestock farmers and the country’s main agricultural industry,” said Alberto de la Cruz, president and CEO of CC1 Companies, in a written statement.

The transaction includes the production plant, the refrigerators and refrigeration equipment distributed in the market, as well as the rights to brands such as Suiza Premium, Golden Supreme, and Suiza Dairy UHT milk. The agreement also includes the possibility of exporting these products to Caribbean markets.

According to data from the Office for the Regulation of the Dairy Industry, the UHT milk segment is the fastest-growing segment within the dairy sector in Puerto Rico, and the year is expected to close with a production of 181 million quarts.

CC1 Companies maintains operations in the beverage and distribution sectors, with brands such as Coca-Cola and products from Cervecera de Puerto Rico. With the expansion, the company strengthens its presence in the local market and reinforces its commitment to manufacturing on the island.
