With the purpose of analyzing the current landscape, as well as the challenges and opportunities of the insurance industry in Puerto Rico, the Certified Public Accountants Association (CCPA by its initials in Spanish) will hold the XXVII Annual Insurance Industry Forum this Thursday from 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Caribe Hilton.
The event will bring together insurance professionals and leaders to examine the industry’s short- and medium-term projections. The agenda will include topics related to Puerto Rico’s economic performance, current market trends, and an analysis of the sector’s main segments: health, life, property, and casualty.
“The insurance industry in Puerto Rico plays an essential role in the island’s economy, providing financial mechanisms that facilitate access to healthcare, capital protection, and financial planning,” CCPA President David Rodríguez said. “This educational event has been designed for insurance industry professionals and the general public interested in learning about the challenges, opportunities, trends, and new technologies impacting each segment of this industry.”
The event will feature representatives from the public and private sectors, including Insurance Commissioner of Puerto Rico Suzette M. del Valle Lecároz. In addition, a panel of top executives and presidents of insurance companies will discuss the risks, emerging opportunities, and future outlook for the industry in Puerto Rico.
“The Forum seeks to foster the exchange of knowledge and strengthen collaboration among professionals in the insurance industry in Puerto Rico,” Rodríguez reiterated. “It will also offer participants tools and perspectives that will allow them to better understand the economic environment and the dynamics that impact the sector.”
