Gov. Jenniffer González Colón presented the Íntegra system on Wednesday, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform designed to centralize financial and supply chain processes across more than 60 agencies of the central government.
“With the implementation of the new ERP, we are no longer the last jurisdiction in the United States still operating with a financial platform developed in the late 1990s,” González Colón stated at a press conference.
Íntegra replaces legacy systems that operated separately in different agencies and aims to standardize processes, reduce manual tasks, strengthen internal controls and provide faster access to financial information.
The system has already impacted more than 84,000 registered employees and more than 8,000 active users since its launch.
As part of the process, more than 20,000 tests were completed, 57 technological interfaces were certified, and more than 170 training sessions were offered to government employees.
“We are talking about a profound transformation of how the government manages public resources,” the governor stated at the announcement of the launch, where she was joined by La Fortaleza Chief of Staff and Fiscal Agency & Financial Advisory Authority Executive Director Francisco Domenech Fernández and the Deputy Chief of Staff Itza García Rodríguez.
Domenech Fernández noted that the system includes the Finance and Supply Chain modules, which will allow government suppliers to have greater visibility and access to real-time information about their transactions.
