Governor makes nominations to various boards

Gov. Jenniffer González Colón announced Monday that she has made 18 nominations for various governing boards.

All of the appointments must be considered by the Senate during the session that began Monday. All nominees will be able to join their boards and perform their duties immediately, as their appointments were made during the legislative recess.

The nominees are:

* Ernesto A. Rivera Umpierre, as member of the Land Administration governing board and member of the Public Buildings governing board.

* Sylvia Villafañe Alvarado, as member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rico School of Fine Arts and Design Corp. and member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rico Corporation for Public Broadcasting (WIPR).

* Walbert Pabón González as member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.

* José Luis Rivera Rivera as member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rico Statistics Institute.

* Juan Camilo Ruiz Pinzón as member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rico Statistics Institute.

* Omar Y. González Rodríguez as member of the board of directors of the Highways and Transportation Authority.

* Dr. Maribel García Colon as member of the board of directors of the Comprehensive Cancer Center.

* Félix Negrón as member of the board of directors of the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico.

* Jorge T. Ros Danger as member of the board of directors of the Economic Development Bank for Puerto Rico and member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company.

* Gabriel A. Olivera Magraner as member of the board of directors of the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico and member of the board of directors of the Economic Development Bank for Puerto Rico.

* Jean Peña Payano as member of the board of directors of the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico, member of the board of directors of the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico.

* Tere Riera Carrión as member of the board of directors of the Conservatory of Music.

* Coral M. Cummings Pino as member of the board of directors of the Economic Development Bank for Puerto Rico and member of the board of the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico.

* Iván E. López Báez as member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority.

* Omar Massa Pérez as member of the board of directors of the State Insurance Fund Corp.

* José M. Aponte Flores as member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rico Corporation for Public Broadcasting (WIPR).

* Gregorio Igartúa Arbona as member of the board of governors of the Automobile Accident Compensation Administration and member of the board of directors of the Puerto Rico Statistics Institute.

* John Rivas as a member of the board of directors of the School of Fine Arts and Design of Puerto Rico.
