Police seek citizens’ help to find 23 fugitives wanted for murder

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 23 fugitives wanted for homicides committed in various municipalities across Puerto Rico.


According to the police, arrest warrants have been issued for these individuals in connection with crimes that have claimed the lives of multiple victims.


Police Superintendent Joseph González Falcón stated that information from the public could be crucial in locating and arresting the fugitives.


“Each of these fugitives represents an outstanding debt to the victims, their families, and our communities. We will not rest until they are brought to justice,” González Falcón said in a written statement. “We urge anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact the Puerto Rico Police Department confidentially. Your cooperation can be decisive in preventing further violence and bringing peace of mind to the affected families.”


Among the most wanted are Javier Umpierre Escalante, from the Humacao area, with a $1,602,000 bond for the murder of Nelson Laureano Oyola in Las Piedras; Juan Santos Rivera, from the Aibonito area, with a $1,500,000 bond for the murder of Jorge Rolón Alvarado in Aibonito; and Alfredo Atanacio Rosado, from the Bayamón area, with a $1,150,000 bond for the murder of Carlos Calderón Rosado in Toa Alta.


Also wanted are Daniel Cuevas González and Carlos Rivera Otero, both from the Arecibo area, with $4,000,000 bonds for the murder of Jason Díaz Torres in Morovis; Johnny Pérez Méndez, with a $2,500,000 bond for the murder of Abisail Román Mendoza in Quebradillas; and Eleazar Ríos Tirado, with a $3,000,000 bond for the murder of Carlos Bonet Serrano in Arecibo.


Also on the list are Jordan Lugo Méndez, from the Mayagüez area, with a $3,300,000 bond for the murders of Daniel Morales González and Roberto Medina Vélez in Lajas; Juan Peraza Jiménez (captured), with a $2,000,000 bond for the murder of John Vadis Rivera in Mayagüez; and Javier Núñez Ariaga, from the Aibonito area, with a $900,000 bond for the murder of Richard Ortiz Fernández in Coamo.


Other fugitives identified by the police are Ramón del Valle González, from the Carolina area, with a $300,000 bond for the murder of Lexis Yaniel Falú Clemente; Carlos Delgado Monge, with bail set at $2,100,000 for the murder of Shakira Colón Rabel in Trujillo Alto; and Luis González Martínez, from the Bayamón area, for the murder of Hilda Padilla Romero in Guaynabo.


The list also includes Luis Ortiz Rodríguez, from the Caguas area, with bail set at $2,100,000 for the murder of Jonathan Cruz Crispín in Gurabo; Ángel Resto Mojica, with bail set at $2,600,000 in a murder case after cutting off his electronic ankle monitor during his trial; and Luis Rohena Rivera, with bail set at $1,950,000 for the murder of Jeremy González Morales in Juncos.


From the Guayama area, police are searching for Christopher de Jesús Llera, with a $900,000 bond for the murder of Juan Luis Castro Ortiz in Patillas, and Leonardo Reyes Colón, with a $1,000,000 bond for the murder of Elisamuel Reyes García in Salinas.


Also wanted are Wilson Martínez Guzmán, from the Bayamón area, with a $600,000 bond for the murder of Ángel Villegas Guzmán in Guaynabo; Roniel Ruiz Rivera, from the Humacao area, with a $3,000,000 bond for the murder of Juan Dennis González in Las Piedras; Brandon Quiles Santos, from the Arecibo area, with a $1,500,000 bond for the murder of José Anuel Rivera Rojas in Ciales; and Jonathan Prado Torres, from the Bayamón area, on $1,500,000 bail for the murder of Julián Rodríguez Milián in Bayamón.


Authorities are searching for Ronald Aponte Castillo and Jabdiel Cruz Cartagena, both from the Aibonito area, in connection with the murder of Brian Bermúdez Martínez in Coamo. Each is wanted on $1,020,000 bail.


Anyone with information on the whereabouts of any of the fugitives listed here is asked to contact the authorities.
