San Juan celebrates its graduating students at ‘Fuga Sanjuanera’.

 As part of the “Fuga Sanjuanera 2026” initiative, the municipality awarded a $2,500 donation to each participating graduating class, impacting 32 public schools in the capital city.

San Juan Mayor Miguel Romero Lugo, in a press release issued Sunday, highlighted the celebration of “Fuga Sanjuanera 2026,” an event designed to recognize the effort and perseverance of graduating classes from San Juan public schools. 

The initiative took place last Friday at Luis Muñoz Marín Park as part of the “San Juan Supports Your Graduation” program, impacting dozens of students.

“Celebrating this moment with our students is to recognize the effort, discipline, and dedication they have demonstrated throughout these years,” the mayor said. “[...] In San Juan, we believe in supporting our youth during key stages of their development, providing them with opportunities to continue progressing toward their goals.”

As part of the initiative, the municipality awarded a $2,500 donation to each participating graduating class, impacting 32 public schools in the capital city. The contribution directly supports graduation activities and serves as an incentive for students to continue their academic and personal development.

The event was designed as a safe, organized space full of opportunities for healthy recreation, where students could share, celebrate and strengthen relationships within the school community through music, recreational activities, food and refreshments.

The celebration was a collaborative effort involving numerous municipal departments to ensure a safe, well-organized event focused on the well-being of the participants.
