Twenty-four fighters from 19 municipalities in Puerto Rico participated on Saturday in the Amanda Serrano Championships, held at the Popular Plaza in San Juan’s T-Mobile District and organized by the World Boxing Organization (WBO).


The fights were three-round bouts in the 13-14 age group.


In the first fight of the night, Kaleisha “Bumbi” Figueroa, from Aguadilla, defeated Geralivette Palau, from Barranquitas, by split decision in the 85-pound weight class.


Yeribeth Montalván, from Río Grande, defeated Joriangelis Sierra, from Juncos, by unanimous decision in the 101-pound weight class.


In the third fight of the night, Yaneiliz “Nani” Figueroa of Aguadilla defeated Ezeiris Hernández of Caguas by unanimous decision in another fight at 101 pounds.


At 106 pounds, Dixie Delgado of Caguas defeated Arylis Rivera of Canóvanas by unanimous decision.


Jenelie Ramírez of Morovis defeated Kirriat Portalatin of Aguadilla by unanimous decision at 110 pounds.


Yamirelis “La Explosiva” Márquez of Trujillo Alto defeated Jylianisse Amaro of Luquillo by unanimous decision in a bout at 119 pounds.


In a southpaw duel at 119 pounds, Nikeysha Guernard of Mayagüez defeated Kamila García of Trujillo Alto by unanimous decision.


At 132 pounds, Cineliz “Lola” Figueroa of Dorado defeated Jennieliz Aguirre of Camuy by split decision.


Humacao native Génesis López defeated Adamaris González of Salinas by unanimous decision at 106 pounds.


Milady Santana of Humacao defeated Paola “La Guerera” Rivera of Barranquitas by unanimous decision in a bout at 114 pounds.


San Juan native Delila Magaña defeated Génesis Sella of San Germán by unanimous decision at 132 pounds.


In the final bout, at 138 pounds, Shenille “La Callada” Class, from Vega Baja, defeated Tayshka “La Rusa” González, from San Juan, via unanimous decision.


Unified featherweight world champion Amanda Serrano and WBO President Gustavo Olivieri presented the winners with a special WBO “Future Champion” belt, a trophy recognizing the seven-division world champion, monetary compensation, and gift cards to Econo supermarkets for all participants. The other participants also received a medal from the organization.
