The Puerto Rico Police Bureau was investigating the new year’s first homicide case, which occurred on Monday afternoon on PR-167 in Bayamón.
According to authorities, at around 2:15 p.m., a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted police about a person who had sustained several gunshot wounds.
When agents reached the reported location, they found the bullet-riddled body of an unidentified man between 20 and 30 years old inside a white 2018 Toyota Corolla.
It was reported that PR-167 was closed to traffic during the police response.
Agent José DÃaz of the Bayamón Centro precinct was investigating the case, while agents assigned to the Bayamón Criminal Investigation Corps’ Homicide Division, along with the prosecutor on duty, joined the investigation.
