Governor Jenniffer González Colón has recently announced three significant appointments that are set to take effect immediately, utilizing the executive powers bestowed upon her during the current recess of the Puerto Rico Senate.
First, agronomist Irving Yoel Rodríguez Torres has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Department of Agriculture. With a robust background in agricultural sciences and extensive experience in the field, Rodríguez Torres is well-prepared to tackle the pressing challenges faced by the island’s agricultural sector. His appointment reflects a strategic move to enhance agricultural development and reinforce food security across Puerto Rico, an area of critical importance for the well-being of its residents.
In a separate development, the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music has welcomed Julio Molina Espada as a new member of its governing board.
