The Board of Governors of the Puerto Rico Water and Sewer Authority (PRASA) unanimously ratified engineer Luis González Delgado as the new executive president of the public corporation, after an extraordinary meeting held on Wednesday night.
“It is an honor and a great privilege to assume the position of executive president of the AAA. “I appreciate the trust that the governor of Puerto Rico and the Board of Governors have placed in me and I promise to work tirelessly to improve our services and guarantee access to water and sanitation for all citizens of Puerto Rico,” said González Delgado in a written statement.
González Delgado, a civil engineer with more than 20 years of experience in infrastructure and public services, has held various leadership positions at the AAA since joining in 2010, including his recent role as deputy executive director of the Eastern Region. He has led the operation of wastewater filtration and treatment plants, as well as the management of distribution and collection systems.
The Board of Governors highlighted his track record in the implementation of the Capital Improvements Program and in the supervision of strategic projects for the modernization of the AAA infrastructure. “We are confident that, under its leadership, the AAA will continue to focus on offering excellent service and developing sustainable operations,” the Board indicated in a statement. the trust that the governor of Puerto Rico and the Board of Governors have placed in me and I promise to work tirelessly to improve our services and guarantee access to water and sanitation for all citizens of Puerto Rico,” said González Delgado in a written statement.
