Education Secretary Yanira Raíces Vega announced Tuesday that on Feb. 14 the online enrollment process for the next school year 2024-2025 will begin.
“My call to parents and guardians is to complete the Online Enrollment application process as soon as possible,” the Education secretary said in a written statement. “This gives us a clearer picture for the identification of the resources needed for the start of school. We have metrics, but it is imperative to know the number of students who will be part of the public system for the next school year.”
Online registration begins next Wednesday and ends on March 14. The process is the same as it has been for the past few years and will allow parents and guardians to request transportation services for students. Those interested should access mimatricula.dde.pr.
Parents will be able to select the three schools of their choice and will need to complete the required documents. To complete the process, the applicant must have their access account available or, in the case of being a new student, register by creating a user profile.
In the case of students who want to take courses at specialized schools, Montessori, occupational and technical schools, or for the Special Education Program, parents/guardians will need to contact the school for specific requirements. Additional information is available at de.pr.gov.
