Three Kings to be welcomed in San Germán today

San Germán Mayor Virgilio Olivera Olivera said those attending the town’s Three Kings festival today “will be able to visit the aptly named ‘Christmas Farm,’ courtesy of the company Pío Pío Farms, which will have everything from a burrito [little donkey] to goats, among other animals.”

Everything is ready at the Nelsito Park in the historic city of San Germán to give a most cordial welcome to the Three Wise Men today.

The long-awaited encounter “will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., during which time the Magi from the East will deliver hundreds of gifts – dolls, carts and all kinds of children’s and educational games – among those present and as part of the ‘Third Festival de Reyes’ (‘Children’s Festival’), among other things,” San Germán Mayor Virgilio Olivera Olivera said Wednesday in a written statement.

“People, meanwhile, will also have a great opportunity to take photographs with them,” the mayor added. “Also, to share with Disney princesses and heroes, from the Early Head Start and Head Start programs, and enjoy various surprises.”

“The little ones will also consume free hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, candy and snacks, among other treats,” he said.

But there is still much more, because, Olivera noted, “attendees will be able to visit the aptly named ‘Christmas Farm,’ courtesy of the company Pío Pío Farms, which will have everything from a burrito [little donkey] to goats, among other animals.”

“Every year it has exceeded the expectations for attendance,” the mayor said of the event. “The activity has been very successful!.”

Olivera also thanked municipal employees for handling the major tasks of coordination, organization and logistics for the annual event.

“Our purpose is to foster family unity and promote healthy coexistence,” he said. “To see children and parents sharing, full of joy, is the best gift for the Kings’ Day of Love.”

“Children are the future of Puerto Rico and the entire world, so if they are happy, we are much happier … in the face of the arrival of the new infinite blessings for all,” the mayor said.
