Repaving work that began Wednesday on the exit ramp from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport to highway PR-26 (Ramón Baldorioty de Castro Expressway), in the direction of San Juan, will continue today from 6 a.m. to around 4 p.m.

As the work progresses, the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTOP by its Spanish acronym) will inform citizens about changes in the vehicular flow in the area. The project includes the optimization of several ramps at the airport accesses, tasks that will be reported on as they develop.

Drivers and commuters are advised to consult the WAZE app to plan their trips and reduce delays in travel times and be aware of the signage that will be placed in the area to ensure better vehicular flow and alternate routes. The road work has been coordinated with Aerostar personnel and the Puerto Rico Police.

Many people work inside the construction zones, so drivers must slow down, and be attentive to the traffic control devices installed in the area for both their safety and that of the workers. More information about the work and other DTOP projects can be found on the social networks Facebook / DTOP, Twitter @DTOP.
