San Juan District 2 Rep. Ricardo Rey “Chino” Ocasio Ramos on Monday urged small and midsize business owners in his district, as well as those interested in starting their own business, to participate in the “District 2: Gateway to Opportunities” event.
The initiative aims to provide guidance for strengthening and promoting businesses, in addition to offering information on available government aid and programs, as part of the lawmaker’s commitment to economic development, entrepreneurship and the well-being of San Juan communities.
The event will take place this Wednesday at noon at the 3016 Community Center (Theater) in the Manuel A. Pérez Housing Complex in Río Piedras, and will offer workshops, practical guidance, and access to resources designed to foster economic growth and business innovation in the communities. The event is is a joint effort with the central government and the Economic Development Bank for Puerto Rico.
“From District 2, we are opening real doors for our business owners,” the legislator said. “We firmly believe that economic development begins by supporting those who are committed to entrepreneurship and job creation in our communities. Our goal is to support, help, and assist our people, especially with government services, to boost their businesses.”
Ocasio Ramos emphasized that the initiative addresses the need for access to essential tools for the success of local businesses.
“Our commitment is to support business owners, provide them with useful information, and create spaces where they can turn their ideas into opportunities,” he said.
