The director of the Puerto Rico Innovation and Technology Service (PRITS), Martin Jiménez, made an official visit to Washington, D.C. to address connectivity issues.

“This visit reaffirms Governor Jenniffer González’s commitment to closing the digital divide and ensuring that all Puerto Ricans have access to modern, resilient, and equitable connectivity. We continue working tirelessly to connect Puerto Rico with the world, promoting local economic growth and innovation,” said Jiménez in a written statement.

The discussion focused on the progress of the submarine cable project, the underground conduit, and updates to the island’s coverage maps, among other topics.
